Mr. Shehab Abbas
Shehab is an innovative and enthusiastic instructor of English. He holds a Master’s degree in English language and linguistics from the University of Baghdad, Iraq, and currently, he is doing his Ph.D. in Education -TESOL stream. He has got 13-year experience in educating small and large groups of students at the college level. He particularly enjoys working with “at-risk” students and careful preparation of lessons allows him to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that his students can grasp.
During the course of his teaching experience, he has managed the difference of abilities among his students which has proved to be a difficult, but satisfying, challenge. He tailors activities to maintain the interest of high-level students without intimidating less-skilled speakers of English. He helps, supports, and cares about the success of his students; he has helped them progress to achieve their educational, vocational, and personal goals.
His favorite quote is “Don’t run after success! Be creative then success will run after you.”
