The Department of Students Affairs at the Emirates College of Technology organized a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation under the supervision of Dr. Rania Al-Khair, a lecturer in protocol and protocol course in the framework of introducing students to the practical reality of what was studied academically in the course’s scientific material.
The visit started by welcoming the students and listening to the strategic vision of the Ministry 2017-2021, its objectives and priorities. The departments and the organizational structure of the ministry were identified and the focus was on the management of communication and its functions and media functions and public diplomacy. They also learned about the educational visions and linking the tasks to the academic backgrounds of the students considering their specialization in media and public relations, and the protocol in particular through lively and extensive discussion and dialogue between students and the representative of the Department of Communication.A tour in the library of Martyr Saif Ghabash and brief on the content of rare collections of books and research’s and studies took place, and then the official visits and ceremonies, a detailed presentation of the functions of the Department and its specialties in the work of protocol and protocol and the visits of the visits of the leaders and the diplomatic representatives and heads of state.
